We're all in search of that perfect rice bowl sauce that taste like the restaurants - but just a healthier version. You know, one that we can liberally pour over any rice and vegetable combo to take it to the next level, but without all those inflammatory oils and unnecessary additives.

I'm sharing how you can give your usual rice bowl a healthy and exciting twist with this nutrient-rich, rice bowl sauce. not to toot my own horn, but my hubby thinks I'm the best cook ever since I started using this super easy healthy sauce for rice bowls…if only he knew how I made it haha.

The Magic Ingredients to this Healthy Sauce for Rice Bowls

The best part about this sauce? It's super easy to prepare, and the ingredients are simple and wholesome.

All you need is some unsweetened goat yogurt (or organic unsweetened, unflavored greek yogurt). If you live near a Trader Joe's their goat milk yogurt in the blue and white tub is PERFECT for this. I literally just but it for the sole purpose of making creamy sauces.

Then I mix equal parts green chilis (or green chili salsa from Trader Joe's if you prefer), and then finish it off with a squeeze of lime juice.

These ingredients are not just bursting with flavor, but they also have numerous health benefits.

then this isn't part of the sauce but I LOVE to sprinkle cilantro on top too!

Why This Healthy Sauce for Rice Bowls is a Nutrition Powerhouse

Unlike other rice bowl sauces that may contain unhealthy additives such as high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors, and excess sodium, this healthy sauce is made with wholesome, natural ingredients.

Goat yogurt and organic, unflavored Greek yogurt, the base of our sauce, are excellent sources of probiotics essential for gut health and higher in protein than other sauces.

Green chilis, another ingredient, is rich in antioxidants and boosts metabolism, a far cry from the unhealthy oils often used in commercial sauces.

Lastly, we use lime juice, packed with vitamin C for immune strength and digestion aid, instead of the processed sugars found in many other sauces.
