Green Protein Smoothie Recipe A Nutritionist Drinks Every Morning!
Ladies, we all know that starting the day right sets the tone for everything that follows. It's the same with your nutrition. What you eat first thing in the morning can significantly impact your energy levels, mood, and overall health for the rest of the day. That's why I'm OBSESSED with my Easy Green Protein Smoothie. It’s a nutrition-packed drink that I literally can't start my day without!

Green smoothies have been all the rage for their health benefits, and for good reason. They're packed with nutrients from fresh fruits and veggies, and they're an easy way to get a healthy dose of greens first thing in the morning. But what you might not know is that many green smoothies are missing a key ingredient – protein!
Protein is essential for keeping your blood sugar levels stable and providing lasting energy throughout the day.
Without it, that green smoothie you're drinking could actually be spiking your blood sugar, leaving you feeling tired and sluggish. UGH, not what we want, right?
That's why I LOVE green protein smoothies. They offer all the benefits of a regular green smoothie, plus the added bonus of protein. This simple addition makes the smoothie more satisfying, keeping you full for longer and providing sustained energy throughout the day. Literally, a win-win!
My Favorite Green Protein Smoothie Recipe
Here’s the recipe for my go-to Green Protein Smoothie. You’ll need:
1 Green banana (fresh or frozen, I prefer frozen)
1/4 cup Frozen mango and/or pineapple
Handful of Spinach, kale or micro greens
Scoop of vanilla protein powder (I switch this up but here are my favorites!)
3 Tablespoons of Hemp seeds (healthy fat)
Unsweetened Milk of your choice (no preservatives) (again, I switch these up but here are some of my favorite milk choices). Added enough for your desired consistency.
Blend until smooth and enjoy!

Switch Up Ingredients For Your Gut Health
What I absolutely love about green protein smoothies is their endless variety! You can mix and match ingredients based on what's in your kitchen.
Your gut health LOVES variety, so feel free to experiment with different fruits, veggies, and protein sources. This keeps your morning routine exciting and fresh.
But it's not just about dodging breakfast boredom, this ingredient mix-and-match in your green protein smoothie is a big win for your gut health!
A diverse diet promotes a healthier gut ecosystem! Each different food we introduce to our gut gives a chance for a different species of bacteria to flourish, fostering a diverse and balanced gut ecosystem.
So, by adding a medley of ingredients to our green protein smoothie, and switch it up from day to day, you’re not just fighting off breakfast blahs. You’re giving your gut bacteria a rich assortment of nutrients they need to thrive and work at their best to keep us feeling our best!
So for example, some days I’ll add hemp seeds, other days I’ll add chia or flax seeds. I’ll alternate what kind of protein powder I get. Some days I’ll add carrot greens (literally the green tops of the carrots), or greens from my garden or some spirulina for my “greens”. Other days I’ll add a bunch of berries instead of mango. Play around with it!
