These jalapeño poppers are a healthier take on the classic favorite. They’re baked instead of fried and use simple, wholesome ingredients, including cream cheese, bacon, and fresh jalapeños. Perfect for parties, game days, or whenever you need a spicy, savory snack!

Why These Poppers Are a Healthier Choice

Skip the Fryer

Baking these poppers instead of frying them means you’re cutting out unnecessary oils, keeping things lighter and healthier. You’ll avoid the extra calories and unhealthy fats that come with deep-frying, but still get to enjoy the crispy texture. Baking also lets the natural flavors of the ingredients shine, so you can savor every bite without that greasy feeling.

Fresh, Clean Ingredients (Only the Good Stuff)

  • Fresh Jalapeños: By using fresh, organic jalapeños, you’re choosing a snack that’s not only tasty but also packed with nutrients. Organic jalapeños are grown without synthetic pesticides, which makes them a better option for you and your family. They’re full of vitamins, fiber, and antioxidants, adding a healthy kick to your snack.

  • Bacon, But Better: Opting for organic, nitrate-free bacon is an easy way to make this recipe healthier. You’re avoiding artificial preservatives and chemicals often found in conventional bacon. Plus, organic, pasture-raised bacon usually has more omega-3 fatty acids and less saturated fat, so you can enjoy that smoky, savory flavor in a way that’s better for your health.

  • Just Enough Cheese: By using a modest amount of organic, grass-fed cream cheese and cheddar, you get that creamy goodness without overdoing the saturated fats. Grass-fed dairy has more omega-3s and CLA, which come with added health benefits. If you need a dairy-free option, go for a plant-based cream cheese to keep things light while still nailing that creamy texture.

No Added Junk

When you make these poppers at home, you’re in control of what goes into them. That means no preservatives, artificial flavors, or extra sugar—just simple, whole ingredients. It’s a more nutrient-dense snack that’s about quality over fillers, so you can feel good about what you're serving up

Easy Healthy Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 8 large organic jalapeños

  • 4 oz organic, grass-fed cream cheese (or dairy-free cream cheese for a plant-based option)

  • 1/4 cup organic cheese

  • 8 slices of organic, nitrate-free bacon

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Toothpicks (to secure the bacon)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Jalapeños: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes. If you prefer less heat, make sure to remove all the seeds.

  2. Make the Filling: In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese until well combined. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Stuff the Jalapeños: Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.

  4. Wrap with Bacon: Take one slice of bacon and wrap it around each stuffed jalapeño half. Secure the bacon with a toothpick to hold it in place.

  5. Bake: Place the bacon-wrapped jalapeños on a baking sheet lined with unbleached parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is melted.

  6. Serve: Let cool for a few minutes, remove the toothpicks, and enjoy warm!
